Our company started as an idea between two best mates, who happen to be brothers in law, during an overseas holiday.  A Tasmanian brewing company, family owned and producing fresh American inspired craft beer and BBQ.

Our name comes from our family dogs, two cheeky Dalmatians Mishka and Mila.

Our brand of craft beer is unique in style.  We brew Tasmanian craft beer, inspired by the American West Coast styles of beer.  Our beers are craft, but still approachable.  We have built an important image of Family Brewed, Family Owned which we take to all aspects of our business.

We don't take any shortcuts on our ingredients or process and have received amazing feedback from customers (including a special mention in Best New Beers 2016 Australia from Crafty Pint and Best Ale at the Taste of Tasmania 2016/17).

Our beers are made in Tasmania using Tasmanian, Australian and International ingredients.  We bring a fresh and young approach to Tasmanian craft beer.

As Spotty Dog Brewers are a small contract brewer, we constantly change our offerings between every batch.  Our key focus is on American style beers and we primarily produce IPAs and Pale Ales:

Summer Pale Ale

Summer Pale Hour is our base pale ale.  Refreshing, sessionable and crisp, our summer pale is our offering to craft beer lovers and newbies alike.

San Diego Double Dry IPA

San Diego Double Dry IPA is our tribute to the city where so many amazing beers come from.  A simple, dry malt bill gives way to big bursting pine, citrus and grapefruit flavours from the big hop bill.  This is backed up by a double dry hopping schedule, our highest hopped beer yet!

Portland Pale Ale

Portland Pale Ale is a crisp, fruit driven pale ale that tastes of passion-fruit, citrus and melon.  Firm bitterness and light malts compliment the hops in this beer, which won Best Ale at the Taste of Tasmania 2016/17 out of a category with 35 ales!
